News makers are not noise makers. News makers are hardly news watchers. News makers are “moves” makers. They make moves and their moves make news. Are you a noise maker or a news maker ? Do you make people marvel at the moves you make or you just take delight in sitting down and watching others make headlines? The world is in dire need of change makers, people who are making a difference everywhere they find themselves. Unfortunately, we have more noise makers than news makers; people who take delight in shouting down those who are changing their world.
So how do you become a Newsmaker? How do you become a pacesetter and a trail blazer? I will give you a few proven and practical steps, that if you apply, will move you from obscurity to the limelight. Let’s get started:
FIND YOUR PLACE
Your grace is in your place, your expertise will only surface when you are in your place. Every human on earth has a God-ordained place of work, worship and service. You must realize you do not belong everywhere. You cannot shine everywhere. You will not succeed and find fulfillment at just anything. You were made to do something, not everything. You were wired by God to perform better in certain environments. If you take a fish and put it on the ground, it would look useless and worthless, and only good for your soup pot. But take that fish and put it in the river; its expertise will come out. Its abilities will come alive. This is the same with humans. When you are are in your place, you no competition. When you find your place, you find greatness. That place is laughing place. That is where your prosperity is. It is in that place you will find joy.
ASSOCIATE WITH NEWS MAKERS
The company keep determines what accompanies you. In my opinion, the shortest cut to greatness is association. Associating with the right people can cover up for your lack of education, finance, expertise, experience and even time. Stop trying to succeed alone. There are people out there who have gone where you intend to go, find them and learn from them. There is somebody already already doing something you intend to do, get every material you can get about them. The greatness you respect is the greatness you attract.
Stay around people that will challenge you, not those that will tolerate you mediocrity. Life is too short to live with just one brain; make use of the brains of people who are making impact in their various fields. How do you do this? Associate with them in person, read their books, listen and watch their CDs and DVDs. It is easy to be a millionaire. All you need to do is listen to a millionaire and it’s just a matter of time before the millions in you mind will move to your hands.
COMMITMENT TO HARD WORK
Aliko Dangote works for 19 hours every day, Bishop David Oyedepo works 16 hours every day. Dr. Mike Murdock sleeps at 4am every day, Dr Myles Munroe, with his busy schedule, finishes four books every month. No wonder these men are pacesetters and news makers. Only hard workers become high fliers. There is no spiritual substitute for hard work. An unbeliever who is hard working will succeed more than a believer who is lazy. Smart work is not a substitute for hard work; it is actually a part of hard work.
You cannot make a difference when you are too lazy to sit down and work, read or think. God does not bless lazy people. Only the diligent will rule. Only hard workers become news makers. So stop making noise, let your work do the noise making. Let your work announce you.
You are the next to be celebrated.
